Boy trouble.. starting dating again?

i have never been much of a "dater" i have had 2 serious relationships and havent dated around. recently my 16 month relationship suddenly ended and i need/want to start dating.. like just going out on dates not relationships but im lost as to how to approach this. i dont like going out and parting and i dnt like drinking or being promiscuous. (sp?) how do girls my age find decent guys to date? im almost 18 btw and live in a small town.
