Should I give him another try?

Okay, well, my ex bf and I's relationship just kinda ended 7 months ago and it's just because it was winter and I went to do some snowboard training for a couple weeks and we never got back to talking again. I would, but it's just that it took him an entire 7 months to say, "I thought our relationship was special" and we even sit next to each other in english cl! Now my best friend is telling me I should because he's been asking her all day for her to get me to say yes and he's been asking for tips and such. I don't know what to do!
