Does this shy guy like me?

It seems like you like this guy and are trying to find out if he likes you back. You seem to remember everything he did and how you trying to put certain pieces together to figure out if he likes you or not. Anywayz, I would be careful about it. Some guys believe it or not can be just plain friendly and can send wrong signals. I'm not saying that's the case with you but, just be safe. In your case, I think from how you said he tries to hint at what you want to do may mean that he wants to go out with you but, doesn't have the guts to ask you directly. Many signs may mean that he is trying to impress you like driving the car very fast but, it seems like he is also shy and afraid of approaching you. Maybe, you need to get a friend to ask him if how he feels for you.......and see how he reacts to the question. I would also suggest asking him questions about rather he likes someone? Also, if he keeps talking to you about other guys you should tell him, you might be interested in some guy and if he gets jealous or quiet............then you got the answer to your question!
